Directly responsible to the quality manager, the Quality Coordinator’s role will be seen as pivotal in our efforts to drive quality to the source at ALMAG. The role requires the individual to provide training and leadership in the areas of Quality Control and to work collaboratively with a variety of teams.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
The duties and responsibilities of the Quality Coordinator are detailed below, but not limited to the following:

- Participate in the development, implementation and updating of quality systems and procedure
- Prepare and plan for internal and external quality audits, act as main contact between audit team and company, analyze audit reports, ensure proper response and necessary corrective measures taken.
- Lead and Coordinate Almag’s Document Control efforts to ensure it meets ISO requirements.
- Coordinate and plan with packing team for inspection labor resources for support of all final or incoming quality inspection activity.
- Management of Customer Returns
- Ensure prompt receipt, inspection, and disposition.
- Working directly with Inspection Lead hand, AQL inspector reporting to quality team and in their absence step in to fill those duties.
- Oversee all major recalls and containment of nonconforming goods.
- 5S and Organization of material flow through inspection building and Containment areas.
- Development of training methods and work instructions for all inspections.
- Develop data collection and methodology to use inspection as part of the PDCA cycle of continuous improvement.

- Ensures work area is kept clean, orderly and safe at all times

**Requirements**:
**Education/Experience**
- 2 - 5 years’ experience in quality, working in manufacturing environment
- ASQ Certification an Asset
- Direct experience meeting ISO 9001:2015 requirements
- Excellent Organization, 5S Experience
- College Diploma/University Degree in a technical discipline such as Technology, Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science.
- Experience in maintaining a certified quality management system to ISO9001: 2015:

- Qualified Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor to ISO9001: 2015

**Technical Skills/Competence**
- Must be competent in the use of measuring instruments i.e., Calipers, Micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
- Experience with actively participating in ISO 9001:2015 audits
- Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings
- Knowledge of GD&T requirements
- Excellent Organizational Skills, Knowledge of 5 S
- Excellent Communication skills both, verbally, listening, and writing
- Ability to work and make decisions independently and collaboratively
- Strong Leadership skills
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention detail
- Proficiency with MS-office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Innovative and Creative
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet customer/business requirements
- Sense of urgency and an overall customer satisfaction focus.
- Ability to collaborate across different stakeholders.
