Learning Coach

**Overview**
This position requires strong project management skills, the ability to explain course concepts using traditional and/or innovative ideas, effective communication with diverse audiences, and a blend of patience, compassion and enthusiasm. As a Coach, you will leverage various Learning Management Systems (LMS) and instructional design principles to enhance the educational experience. Please note that our Learning Coaches are _not_ instructors; the role primarily focuses on student guidance through established curriculum which is delivered through our LMS
**Duties**
- Implement engaging training plans tailored to the needs of participants.
- Utilize LMS platforms such as Canvas to facilitate online learning and track progress.
- Create instructional materials that are clear, concise, and effective in delivering key concepts.
- Present information in a compelling manner to ensure understanding and retention.
- Collaborate with team members to assess training needs and improve content delivery.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Provide ongoing support and feedback to learners, fostering an environment of growth and development.
- Understands that learning new courseware and concepts is part of the job and enjoys learning on a continual basis.
**Qualifications**
- Advanced computer literacy (Intermediate level of competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Understands Ontario Career College methodology, structure & processes.
- Learn quickly and adapt to shifting professional priorities is required.
- Experience working with a wide range of people in an ethical manner.
- Multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Demonstrated student-centric focus; interacts with patience and kindness at all times.
- Flexible with scheduling; adaptable to shifting priorities.
- Consistently demonstrates inclusive behaviours.
- Proven experience in project management within an educational or training environment.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms, particularly Canvas or similar systems.
- Background in providing educational support is highly desirable.
- Dedicated to providing quality education to students; actively supports student toward their professional and personal goals.
- Enjoys interacting with others and works to foster a cohesive team that supports, encourages and enjoys one another.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
