The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Shipper/Receiver, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Processing Indirect, LTL, FTL Shipments- Greater than 25 shipping destinations both in Canada and internationally, including 3M DCs and freight forwarders- FedEx and UPS shipments for less-than-pallet customer orders to support KUT's order business- A combination of direct-to-trailer and manual picking operations- Several products received to Quality Status for C of A generation before shipment- Dock management: Balancing incoming, outgoing trailers with material shunts to and from the off-site warehouse to feed production.- Management scrap/recycled flow from production departments to coordinate full trailer loads for shipment- Warehouse mill supplies management- Trailer and container inspections- Provide Support for Daily material movements- Ongoing feedback and SRM for multiple carriers- Daily interactions with 3M groups outside the plant, including transportation, export operations, customs, and TDG- Heavy daily interaction with the planning group to coordinate customer shipments, including expedites- Heavy lifting may be required at times
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Completion of High School or equivalent- Current, valid Driver’s License.- Must reside in Canada
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Familiarity with SAP_- Microsoft suite._- Understanding of the Supply Chain flow within a warehouse (materials coming and going)._
