Landscape Labourer

**Job description**

We are looking for full-time landscaping labourers to maintain boulevards, centre islands, sidewalks, and bio-swales.

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties.
- Mow lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
- Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes.
- Plant flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.
- Aerate lawns as needed.
- Shovel snow from walkways and spread de-icer.
- Clean Debris using leaf blower or broom.
- Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger.
- Trim shrubs and pull weeds.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping.
- Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.
- Gather and remove litter

**Qualifications**
- Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment and machinery
- Knowledge of how to use lawn and maintenance equipment
- Ability to work safely in and around busy streets
- Familiarity with material safety data sheets
- Integrity and ability to work independently
- Ability to multi task and work independently
- Ability to work as a team player
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Conduct themselves in a professional manner and maintain strict confidentiality
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance or related field is preferred

Expected start date: Immediately

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal

**Salary**: $20.00 per hour

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
