A Day In The Life
The Search Performance Manager is responsible for the setup and execution of campaign strategy across Google Ads, using both automated and manual bidding strategies. They will utilize their strength and experience in building both standard keyword-based search, shopping, display, YouTube, discovery.... They will be deeply involved in optimizing the accounts based on best-practices and work closely with the SEO and Marketing Partners to ensure top of class performance. They will also work in conjunction with cross functional partners informing on overall strategy, uncovering potential opportunities and reporting on results.
- Execute advanced SEM strategy across Paid Search and Organic Search
- Build out new Search, Shopping, Display, and Video campaigns
- Research keyword and category trends for campaign optimization
- Optimize manual and automated bidding strategies
- Manage day to day budgets within SEM and Paid Social accounts
- Creation of test A/B campaigns, identifying campaign value and opportunities
- Liaise with internal external partners to identify and deliver on new opportunities
- Analyze campaign performance and work with analytics tools identifying optimization opportunities.
- Manage day to day budgets with the primary goal of Revenue expansion with ROAS targets.
- Generate reports summarizing trends & opportunities for the rest of the business team
KEY Responsibilities:
- Build, launch and manage successful paid search & shopping campaigns
- Create and deliver meaningful insights through analytics and reporting to director of ecommerce
- Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies
- Ensure campaigns are meeting clearly defined conversion objectives through best practices in the industry of the following tasks:
- Managing campaign budgets & adjusting bids to optimize ROAS
- Tracking daily, weekly & monthly KPI's to identifying opportunities for improvement
- Keyword research
- Campaign structure building
- Ad copy creation
- Daily budget pacing
- SQR reviews
- Bidding by audience, device, geography, day parting, etc.
- Testing implementation
- Producing engaging, clear & concise copy for campaigns
- Reporting KPI's to management on a regular basis through various dashboards
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant College degree or diploma and a minimum of 3-4 years of hands-on SEM experience with medium-sized online businesses
- Strong presentation and people skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and online research skills and ability to relate results to client business objectives
- Ability to self-manage time and project workload
- Google Ads and Google Analytics certification
- Team player. Strong desire to collaborate with internal and client teams
- Ability to complete tasks and projects independently
- Experience with e-commerce work environment is must
