**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist in the development and implementation of recreational programs tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
- Facilitate group activities such as arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, and social events.
- Provide one-on-one support to residents, ensuring their participation and enjoyment in activities.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to understand individual needs and preferences.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment during all recreational activities.
- Document participation levels and feedback from residents to help improve future programming.
- Collaborate with caregiving staff to ensure that the recreational needs of residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments are met.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in senior care is preferred.
- Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with residents and their families.
- A background in organizing recreational activities or therapeutic recreation is beneficial but not required.
