**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coaching & Technical Development: Plan, organize, and lead all team training sessions, competitions, and film reviews. Develop and implement strategic game plans and technical skill development programs.
- Recruitment: Proactively identify, evaluate, and recruit highly skilled student-athletes who can succeed academically and athletically at the university level, in compliance with U Sports/CCAA and university eligibility rules.
- Student-Athlete Success: Monitor and support the academic progress, personal development, and overall well-being of team members. Promote a culture of academic excellence, leadership, and community service.
- Program Administration: Manage the sport program’s budget, coordinate travel and competition logistics, oversee equipment and inventory, and ensure compliance with all university, conference, and national sport governing body policies.
- Supervision: Hire, mentor, and supervise assistant coaches, support staff, and volunteers.
- Culture & Safety: Foster an inclusive, respectful, and safe team environment. Ensure all activities adhere to Safe Sport principles (including Respect in Sport training) and provincial health & safety regulations.
- Promotion & Engagement: Act as a positive ambassador for the program. Engage with alumni, donors, the campus community, and the media to promote the team and build support.

**Qualifications**:

- A post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and extensive coaching experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven and successful coaching experience at the university, collegiate.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical instruction, tactical planning, and athlete development.
- Proven success in recruiting and retaining high-caliber student-athletes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor young adults.
- Exceptional organizational, administrative, and budget management skills.
- Current certifications in First Aid/CPR and Respect in Sport/Coaching (Safe Sport) or commitment to obtain immediately upon hire.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
