Position Overview:
Join the Finning Canada family, part of the world's largest Caterpillar dealer. We are currently looking for dedicated Field Heavy Duty Mechanics, who will report directly to the Field Service Supervisor. They will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing a wide variety of Caterpillar equipment primarily in the field.
NOTE: This is a 7x7 - 12 hour (Wednesday through Tuesday shift).

**Job Description**:

- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of heavy duty equipment and/or related equipment in a safe and timely fashion.
- Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, using hand and power tools.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that repair meets manufacturer specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance work.
- Various related duties as required.
Education & Experience:
- Certified Heavy Equipment Technician (Red Seal) required.
- Previous experience with Caterpillar equipment/engines (minimum 4 years).
- Completion of or be willing to complete Finning training courses.
- Dedication to safety.
- Electrical, Transmission, or Hydraulic troubleshooting and testing would be considered an asset.
- Paving equipment experience would be considered an asset.
- Valid Driver’s license and successful driver abstract.
Note:
- This position is located at out Finning Calgary branch based on a 7x7 continuous day shift
- LOA is not provided for this position
- Any future shift changes will be made in accordance with the collective agreement
