**Taper Job Description**

**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Smooth out joint compound over taped areas to create an even surface.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding and cleaning as necessary.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of work.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Perform caulking tasks as needed to seal gaps and joints.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in other maintenance person tasks as required, contributing to overall project completion.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Taper or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of drywall installation techniques and finishing processes.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand construction drawings.
- Familiarity with construction painting methods is preferred.
- Skills in caulking and other maintenance person tasks are a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $19.71-$22.95 per hour

Flexible language requirement:

**Experience**:

- Caulking: 2 years (required)
- Blueprint reading: 2 years (required)
- Drywall: 2 years (required)
- Construction painting: 3 years (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 100% (preferred)
