We are looking for a talented full-time **Manager Training & Scheduling** to join our team to help us continue to provide our clients with quality & efficiency. Thriving in a fast-paced environment, having the ability to self-manage and organize daily schedules while improvising, when required, is extremely important as well as being detail oriented and possessing excellent time management skills. This position would involve extensive communication skills as you deal with the scheduling of over 200 employees including drivers, package handlers, warehouse associates & administrative staff at multiple locations in **Vancouver Island, BC**.

**Job Location**:Nanaimo**

**Responsibilities**:

- Effectively communicating with drivers, package handlers, warehouse associates & administrative staff over the phone to schedule, remind and follow up on their shifts while making sure there is no confusion on either side.
- Produce and process schedules as they are requested by respective managers or clients.
- Add, cancel, or make changes to schedules as communicated/requested by employees, managers & clients.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts for employees and communicate the same to respective managers.
- Effectively communicating with the Regional Managers and Human Resources on hiring needs and training requirements.
- Excellent communication with the ability to problem solve quickly
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
- Demonstrated ability to lead and organise employees
- Strong attention to detail
- MS Office Suite with a high proficiency with Excel
- Computer competency for data entry and the production of reports and schedules.
- Ability to fulfill the company's standards and values when performing scheduling tasks.
- Display kindness and be open to providing scheduling accommodations to employees, clients or administrative staff.
- Ability to multi-task and solve problems quickly.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred, 1 - 3 years experience in a related position
- Preferred, a Diploma in Business Administration or related degree in transportation or logistics
- A combination of related experience, education, and training will be considered
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
