Job description:
Are you a proven leader with a passion for hospitality and a drive to make a real impact? Cilantro and Chive is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support our continued growth and help lead a team that’s redefining restaurant culture in Alberta.

**Please Note: Applicants without prior restaurant or hospitality management experience will not be considered. This is a leadership position requiring proven management capabilities.**

**What You Will Do**

As Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager and Culinary Team to ensure smooth daily operations and continued team growth. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading by example in all areas of operations, from the dining room floor to the back office
- Training, coaching, and ongoing development of all team members
- Managing inventory and tracking variances accurately
- Placing and managing weekly orders through both local and major suppliers
- Assisting with menu creation and development alongside the culinary team
- Implementing and maintaining house policies and procedures
- Creating staff schedules and overseeing day-to-day performance
- Contributing to company reporting and directly supporting the General Manager
- Representing Cilantro and Chive at community events and promotions

**What You Bring**
- **Minimum 2 years of proven management experience** in a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach
- Ability to manage time and resources effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence in decision-making with the humility to learn and adapt
- A genuine passion for food, craft beverages, and hospitality
- Experience creating and implementing internal policies is considered a strong asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
