**_Position: Quality Assurance/Control Technician (full time) _**

**_Department: Technical /Quality Assurance_**

**_Reports to: Senior Technical Manager_**

**_Job purpose: _**The QA-QC Technician ensures compliance to Product Quality through product quality tests/analysis, and production line monitoring, according to the Quality Management System (QMS) and the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) in the production of Packaged Water and Carbonated Beverages.

**_Key Accountabilities: _**
- Conducts water and beverage product quality tests/analysis, and production line monitoring for product Quality and Food Safety compliance;
- Assists in SOPs preparation and development, as specified by Food Safety Management system;
- Partners with operations to ensure consistent compliance to Product Quality and GMP requirements;
- Assists in the Food Safety and related pre-requisite programs of the company;
- Supports the documentation requirements of the quality processes as specified in the Food Safety and Quality Management Systems (QMS);
- Coordinates and reviews documentation processes according to the Food Safety requirements;
- Records, coordinates, tracks, and reports quality metrics related to the Quality system;
- Assists in water quality data assessments, premises and environmental monitoring and related quality and Food Defense/Security projects;
- Operates and maintains upkeep of laboratory equipment, accurate and timely documentation, analytical data bases and relevant reports; and
- Assists in Quality, Food Safety and Safety Programs.

**_Qualifications: _**
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related studies with at least one (1) year of relevant work experience;
- Knowledge and experience in Quality/ Food Safety investigative skills;
- Experience in GMP, HACCP, QMS, and Food Safety Systems documentation;
- Bottling/production and laboratory QC testing experience is preferable;
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to details;
- Ability to multi-task with strong time-management and teamwork skills;
- Computer proficiency: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point;
- Good English communication (verbal, written), Training, interpersonal skills and a team player.

**_Working conditions: _**The role is based at the Burnaby, BC, facility. The role is primarily in a live production and QA laboratory environment with some office work required. All site Health and Safety, PPE and safe working regulations apply. Specific safety requirements for working with lab chemicals and equipment must be strictly followed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
