Shop Attendant

**Job Summary**
The Shop Attendant plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the maintenance shop, ensuring equipment and tools are organized, clean, and ready for use. This individual contributes to the smooth operation of fleet maintenance by assisting mechanics, managing inventory, and maintaining shop cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist mechanics with basic tasks such as retrieving tools, parts, or equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workshop and tool storage areas
- Receive deliveries, inspect incoming parts for accuracy, and stock shelves appropriately
- Monitor shop inventory and notify supervisor of low stock or reordering needs
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on shop equipment
- Properly dispose of waste materials according to environmental and company guidelines
- Ensure safety standards are followed throughout the shop
- Assist with vehicle fueling, washing, or relocating around yard as needed
- Prepare tools and parts for scheduled repairs or service
- Assist the shop mechanic to record data such as tool usage or inventory movements in shop logs or digital systems
- Assist on other shop related tasks and projects as assigned

Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a maintenance shop or similar setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of tools, vehicle maintenance, and shop safety practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Valid G driver’s license; DZ license is an asset
- Willingness to follow procedures and support a safety-focused work culture
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings or occasional weekends
- Typical hours of work 6am-2pm

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
