**Background**:
The Tamil Christian Church of Canada was established in 1986 to minister to the Tamil Diaspora in the Greater Toronto Area and is a Registered Charity. It is a Congregation of the Wesleyan Methodist Church.

**Position Summary**

We are seeking a passionate, spirit-led Next Generation Pastor to shepherd and disciple children, youth and young adults within our Tamil diaspora church community in Toronto. In a unique cultural context where young people navigate the intersections of Eastern heritage, Western culture, and Biblical truth, the ideal leader will guide the next generation into a Christ-centered identity with wisdom, cultural sensitivity, and spiritual depth.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Spiritual Leadership & Discipleship**_
- Lead and oversee children, youth and young adult ministries with a focus on Bible teaching, worship, and prayer.
- Provide spiritual mentorship to the next generation, addressing their personal and cultural challenges with Biblical guidance.
- Encourage and model spiritual disciplines such as prayer, Bible reading, worship, and service.
- **Program Development & Ministry Engagement**_
- Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate programs that are culturally relevant and spiritually enriching.
- Organize gatherings, events, retreats, outreach/mission opportunities, and special programs for children, youth and young adults.
- Integrate creative arts and digital media into ministry to effectively connect with younger audiences.
- **Collaboration & Communication**_
- Work closely with parents, volunteers, and church leadership to support the holistic growth of the Next Generation.
- Equip, train, and support volunteers for various ministry roles and responsibilities.
- Partner with leaders to ensure unified church-wide discipleship efforts.
- **Pastoral Care**_
- Provide pastoral support and counseling to children, youth, young adults and young families as needed.
- Maintain a visible and approachable presence within the church community and at key family life events.
- **Qualifications & Requirements**_
- A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ; strong spiritual maturity.
- Formal theological training (minimum diploma or bachelor's in theology).
- Experience in youth, young adults and/or children’s ministry, preferably in a multicultural or diaspora context.
- Bilingual in English and Tamil, with the ability to minister effectively in both languages.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Musical and/or creative arts ability is an asset (worship leading, media, drama, etc.).
- Humble, team-oriented, and aligned with Wesleyan theology and values.
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- **Work Schedule & Expectations**_
- Full-time position.
- Weekend and evening availability required.
- Participation in meetings, leadership retreats, and church-wide initiatives.
