Currently for our location in Surrey (BC) - BrightPath Clayton Hills Centre at 7239 - 192nd Street, we are hiring 1 enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator who can join our team as soon as possible. This is a full time - 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), permanent position for mature individual with a childcare related background. We offer competitive wage rate and great benefits. All applicants should be able to communicate in English. However given the demographics in Lower Mainland, ability to communicate in a second language will be an asset.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a high-quality program, in line with BrightPath’s curriculum, that supports and promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
- Plan and maintain a high-quality environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
- Assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
- Support children in the development of their self-help skills and independence
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
- Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
- Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required
- Work in partnership to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials

To be successful at BrightPath you need:

- Early Childhood Education Certificate, Registered ECE licence, BEd. degree or early childhood education equivalent
- Min. 2 years working experience in the childcare field
- Strong interpersonal skills to gain trust and respect of children and their parents
- Demonstrate skills working as a team and enjoy a team environment
- The ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience in planning and implementing programs
- Passion for working with children
- English knowledge (spoken and written)

Additional requirements:

- Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
- Current Criminal Check & Vulnerable Sector screening

Compensation:

- 19.50$ per hour paid biweekly
- 10 days of paid vacation per year
