Finish Rakeman

**Asphalt EXPERIENCED Rakeman NEEDED**

Melrose Paving, located central Mississauga, is looking for:

- Rakeman w/ experience

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Smooth and adjust surface irregularities, spread asphalt to proper grade and finishes before compacting
- Raking alongside the asphalt paver
- Responsible for the finished product while enforcing proper safety and traffic precautions
- Distribute and rake asphalt material used in construction, repair and resurfacing
- Finish surfaces by rough raking and finish raking hot asphalt material to the proper grade and thickness to properly adhere material to road surface
- Works with paving crew to lay asphalt, by hand, servicing manholes and catch basins
- Assist in setting up and taking down signs, pylons, caution tape etc.
- Must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Must demonstrate excellent safety awareness, and a willingness to comply with company policy and safety standards
- Periodic evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime hours are expected
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
