Retail Manager

**We're Hiring for our Upper Mountain Hamilton Location.**
**This position is full-time and rate of pay is based on relevant retail experience.**
**Summary**
The Manager plays a key role in the Company by assisting the executive team in organizing, planning, and implementing strategy to ensure the team and store objectives are met by employees. The Manager will oversee retail operations, including inventory and visual merchandising, and be actively involved with strengthening our sales team and providing them with the guidance and training necessary to provide exceptional service.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers
- Analyze consumer behavior and adjust product positioning
- Research emerging products to help update the store’s merchandise
- Help track the progress of store goals and objectives
- Oversee daily functions and operations to support employees and maximize efficiency
- Ensure the store is presentable each day
- Create a welcoming environment for the customer by greeting and assisting
- Communicate with customers and evaluate their needs
- Handle complaints from customers with professionalism and ease
- Ensure customer satisfaction and help maintain company’s reputation
- Demonstrate desired behaviours for staff including driving sales, handling difficult and/or complicated sales, cash management, and follow-up with customers
- Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best
- Coach and support new and existing Sales Associates
- Plan and relieve staff for breaks and meal periods daily
- Suggest sales training techniques
- Report employee performance and help identify hiring/training needs
- Make sure all employees adhere to company’s policies and guidelines
- Delegate tasks to employees
- Monitor, maintain and order store inventory
- Help receive shipments accurately and in a timely manner
- Help minimize and control inventory loss
- Ensure all pricing, signage, and displays are accurate and effective at all times
- Assist in maintaining social media presence and strive to improve consumer engagement
- Help maintain positive relations with current and potential vendors
- Communicate with vendors professionally, and deliver messages to the General Manager
- Make decisions to the best of your ability with the company’s interest in mind
- Act as our store’s representative and set an example for our staff
**Requirements**:
- Prior experience as a Retail Manager (1+ year preferred)
- Familiarity with customer service principles
- Proficiency with MS Office, computers, and technology in general
- Leadership and organizational abilities
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Problem-solving attitude
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Additional pay:
- Overtime pay

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
