YMCA Activity Leaders, Support & Inclusion enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced environment facilitating activities and games for children ages 5 - 12. Our Support & Inclusion Activity Leaders are responsible for ensuring children with diverse abilities or support needs have an inclusive before and after school care experience.

**Your qualifications**
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Experience working with children 5 - 12 with additional support needs
- Experience as a Behavioral Internationalist or Support Worker and Asset
- Emergency First Aid and CRC - C & AED
- 20 hours of training in Child Development, Child
Guidance and/or Nutrition an asset

**Your responsibilities**:

- Work effectively within a staff team to provide an inclusive environment of support, strategies, and resources for children with diverse needs to fully participate within the program.
- Provide individual support to children within the program setting
- Help to build and contribute to a community environment of global supports and inclusion for all children through supporting their strengths and stretches.
- Help children navigate conflict and role model positive behaviours.
- Contribute to the development, integration, and maintenance of care plans within the program

**Rate of Pay**:$20.81 per hour

**Benefits**:Benefits package + FREE Gym Membership paid vacation days and sick leave

**Location**:Windsor YMCA Kids Club (6166 Imperial St, Burnaby)

**Terms**:Permanent, Part-time: 27.5 hours a week

**Shift**:Monday - Friday 7:00am - 9:00am & 2:30pm - 6:00pm
- **This is a split shift - must be available in the morning AND the afternoons**
