Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)

The Director of Deployment Bids, Manuals & Training group is responsible for the management of Bids for all Solutions Deployment scope of work as well as Manuals & Training activities from Solutions Deployment department. From Bids, they are responsible for representing Deployment at various Bids meetings, gate reviews, drive Migration discussions, and provide consolidated estimates. From Manuals & Training, they are responsible for on-time delivery of all Operations, and Maintenance manuals, as well as Course Guides and Training Delivery on site for all projects.

Key Accountabilities:
Bids:
- Lead and represent Deployment Bids and provide deliverables, estimates and plans on time as per Bids schedule- Align and coordinate directly with VP of Bids on upcoming opportunities and Go-Gets- Define Migration strategy for Brownfield opportunities and align with Bids, Engineering and COD teams- Define Deployment plans for Greenfield opportunities and align with Bids, Engineering and COD teams- Define project schedule for Deployment activities and align with Engineering, Capture Leads, and Bid Managers and COD teams- Review estimates from COD and identify optimizations to meet the target pricing- Consolidate overall estimates, risks, non-labor cost from Deployment function to Bids team as formal submission for any given Bid- Co-ordinate with Procurement for Installation should-cost exercise and Installation Statement of Work- Participate in customer meetings to discuss Migration and Deployment strategy of the new opportunities- Engage with Deployment teams to reflect lessons learned on new opportunities- Provide regular updates to VP of Deployment, Directors and Managers within Deployment function on progress of Bids, roadmap showing upcoming opportunities

Manuals & Training (M&T):
- Responsible for providing approval as Head of Department (HOD) on Bottoms Up Estimate (BUE) and Request for Quotation- (RFQ) for each project- Provide estimates and strategy for Training for new opportunities to Bids team- Review department LFR quarterly with VP of Deployment and provide action plan as required- Participate in monthly Deployment Dashboard reviews and provide feedback on M&T topics- Actively monitor department demand and ensure personnel with right skillset are assigned to deliver the project commitments on time

Key Requirements:
- 10 years’ experience in various roles within GTS/Hitachi Rail/Alcatel- Minimum 3 years of experience in working on Proposals and familiar with end-to-end process- Minimum 5 years of experience in working on Manuals & Training and familiar with all processes- Excellent knowledge of rail industry and technology- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Strong organization and negotiating skills- Possesses CBTC Technical Knowledge (HW/SW)- Excellent Customer service experience
