Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Construction Delivery Driver (operating a FORD or HINO) will work with a team to deliver construction material to various commercial job sites around the lower mainland, complete dump runs, and general labour as required. This position will also assist with various general tasks within the shop at the head office in Coquitlam.

**Without restricting the generality of the above-stated basic functions, this position shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned including but not restricted to the following**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the dispatcher/scheduler on timing/coordination of deliveries
- Operate company vehicle in a safe, efficient, and professional manner
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspections on the truck and follow all safety procedures
- Pick up and deliver material to and from various job sites
- Pick up and drop off construction waste from various job sites to the waste stations
- Ensure waste bins are loaded with the appropriate type of materials
- Picking up materials from various suppliers
- Loading/unloading of construction material and/or equipment
- Working in and around construction crew members while delivering construction materials
- Organization of construction materials in our shop and storage facilities
- Maintaining a clean, neat, and well-organized vehicle
- Obtain all necessary paperwork and signatures where required
- Perform other assigned duties in between deliveries such as maintaining company premises, organizing the shop, cleaning of the delivery vehicles, and assisting with various tasks within the shop
- Other duties as assigned

**Required Skills/Experience**:

- A valid Class 5 driver’s license paired with a driver’s abstract free from any contraventions
- Minimum of 3 years related experience is preferred but not necessarily required
- Physically fit with the ability to consistently lift and move items (min 50 lbs.)
- Good knowledge of the lower mainland, specifically the downtown core
- Knowledge of construction site safety interest/knowledge in construction
- Service oriented with a professional and courteous demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency to complete the tasks in a safe but timely manner
- Dependable with the ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Able to commute to our head office / shop in Coquitlam on a daily basis
- Flexibility to work varying hours if needed (early starts/slightly longer days in order to complete a delivery)
- CSA approved safety footwear

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
