The incumbent is accountable for executing reporting functions, strengthening risk methodologies, and evolving the analytics capabilities for the department. **Responsibilities**: - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. - Owns the TPRM data standards and procedures and ensures they are operationalized and consistently implemented across the organization and identifies where remediation is necessary. - Executes on descriptive analytics and regularly provides reporting to Executive stakeholders - Develop and visualize information through reporting dashboards using PowerBI - Construct and maintains file ingestion process from source data systems into reporting server - Synthesizes predictive analytics, insights and expands analytical tools and capabilities. - Contributes to strategic initiatives related to data, analytics, and automation - Extends TPRM analytic capabilities through the identification and generation of data elements throughout the TPRM Risk Assessment Lifecycle - Validates and tests risk methodologies and developed concepts through simulated scenarios - Creates and update documentation related to risk methodologies and data elements used in risk profile assessments while validating accuracy and suitability. - Contribute to data ingestion, transformation, and extraction solutions in Datahub platform. - Interacts with business stakeholders to fully leverage business intelligence tools as required - Supports Global TPRM reporting and strategic initiatives as required. - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. - Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. **Job Requirements**: - 2-5 Years of experience within an Analytics role. - Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance. - Proficient with PowerBI and SQL programming language. (Other programming languages such as Python would be an asset). - Familiarity with Machine learning would be an asset. - Master’s degree in a quantitative field preferred. - Excellent analytical skills. Must be able to interpret and consolidate large amounts of information in actionable recommendations. - Understanding of the regulatory landscape with respect to third party risk would be an asset. - Experience cleaning, managing and visualizing data - Sound judgment, learning agility, and a high level of professional and personal integrity - Basic DB administration experience (SQL Server) Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
