Toronto, Canada Citywide Notes Ltd Full time

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Note Takers to support students with disabilities in their educational journey. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and possess strong organizational skills. The Note Taker will be responsible for accurately documenting lectures and discussions, ensuring that all important information is captured in a clear and concise manner. This position is perfect for those with experience in tutoring, special education, or classroom settings.

**Please note: we do not have remote positions and we are hiring for January 5th, 2026 start date.**

**Duties**
- Attend **in-person classes**and take comprehensive notes during lectures and discussions using a laptop computer.
- Arrive 15 minutes before the start of the class to prepare for set up.
- Organize notes in a structured format that is easy for students to understand.
- Proofread, edit and format notes after each class.
- Ensure notes are accurate, clear, concise and include all necessary information.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to all educational guidelines.
- Provide completed work to Citywide Notes within a designated time frame.

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Must have access to own Laptop with a minimum 13” screen and 3 hour battery life
- Must have a minimum typing speed of  70 wpm
- Strong writing and editing skills, including proficient use of grammar.
- Experience in a Canadian post-secondary environment an asset
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Have a positive and professional attitude, dependability.
- Strong listening skills i.e. listening to multiple people in a conversation, able to block out ambient noise.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively.
- Can meet deadlines.

**Job Type**: Freelance

Pay: $20.00 per hour
