LAKERIDGE HEALTH Benefits Consultant Human Resources FULL TIME 8 HOUR DAY SHIFTS (Subject to Change) LAKERIDGE HEALTH OSHAWA & CORPORATE OFFICE SALARY: $31.598 - $36.458 2200004074 DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: Reporting to the Supervisor, Pension & Benefits, the Benefits Consultant is responsible for administering Lakeridge Health's Benefits & retirement program and will lead the communication process with eligible employees and the pension administrator. The Benefits Consultant will act as the main point of contact for questions and inquiries relating to all plans and will participate in the development and implementation of effective programs, policies and procedures in all key areas of benefits and pension. Other duties include: - Ensure proper internal controls, system standards and polices are maintained and audit requirements are met; - Ensure organization compliance with provincial legislation, collective agreements and contract requirements for all benefit plans; - Deliver and facilitate benefit education group sessions including hosting benefit engagement forums, seminars and events; - Support with the management of Lakeridge Health's benefit and pension plans, including enrolments, changes, communications with carrier and employees, investigation of claims, issues, and billings; - Reconcile significant volumes of pension and benefit data to validate accuracy and completeness of benefit calculations and deductions compared to vendor membership data; - Support the adjudication of Lakeridge Health's short term and long term disability programs; - Foster strong relationships with stakeholders; - Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: " Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, CHRP, CEBS or a related field; " 3-5 years of demonstrated Benefits & Pension administration, hospital experience is preferred; " Experience in program/policy development, delivery and implementation; " Excellent collaboration, project management and communication skills; " Skills working with databases, spreadsheets, and related reports ; " Must have satisfactory performance record & proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining this same standard; " Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy; " Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-services in this area.
