Department Head of Sales

**Position Summary**

Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, the Department Head of Sales is responsible for the growth and sustainment of organizational sales through new markets and acquisition.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**- **Ownership and execution of a Business Development strategy, including revenue and margin targets:

- Research and knowledge of applicable industries and markets, to include periodic reporting on changes
- Proactive pursuit of growth through new opportunities and existing accounts.
- Fundamental understanding and reporting format on all new opportunities prior to induction
- New account preliminary data to include size, competitive pricing models, EAU, Credit Standing, stability charting, and other necessary decision-making metrics.
- Formal inquiry process developed both internally and through outside sales, approved and modified through company principle(s)
- To include formal integration process into Customer Service on new accounts

**- **Timely response to sales enquiries.
- Including reporting to company principle(s) that identifies both risk and reward opportunities
- Reporting key timelines, milestones and the working plan for the opportunity
- Through a calculated, thorough and standardized template

**- **Integration with company financials.
- Actual to predicted tracking with countermeasures included where necessary
- Commensurate and compliment all fiduciary reporting responsibilities and timelines to the Parent Company.
- Collaborative and constructive efforts with both the Winnipeg and Jamestown (ND, USA) operations to ensure capability and capacity are aligned.
- With clear concise deliverables from the location
- To include any strategic initiatives, charters, accounts, etc as delivered by the location.
- Active participation in the weekly Strategic Team meetings for each site, as part of the strategic team.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager/President.

**Working Relationships**
- Company President/General Manager, Director of Business Development.
- Internal Department Heads of other functional areas.
- Applicable industry groups and outside sales agencies.
- Internal legal counsel.

**Environmental Conditions**
- Open office environment, pod-style.
- Occasional shop floor involvement; typical fabrication environment requiring foot, eye and ear protection.
- Travel within North America via car and/or plane.

**Qualifications**
- Related Diploma/Certificate preferred (if applicable).
- Minimum of five years related customer experience.
- Minimum five years with P&L and financial pro-forma development.
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
- Excellent written communication skills, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and composition.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented and results-oriented environment.
- Ability to produce a high level of accuracy and justification in formal documentation.
- Well organized and highly motivated.
- Ability to maintain and preserve strict confidentiality.

With its primary facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and a second facility in Jamestown, North Dakota, Champ Metal Fabrication is structured for partnerships with OEMs and Tier One Suppliers in medium-to-high volume metal fabrication and assembly, through tube laser and sheet metal laser cutting, forming, welding, machining, painting/powder coating and assembling of copper, aluminum and carbon, stainless, galvanized and satin-blend steel.
