Vaughan, Canada GSCI Advanced Photonics Full time

GSCI, an electro-optical manufacturing company, is looking for a new addition to our assembly team to build their career in a company with 30 years on the market.
- Building precision electro-optical assemblies in accordance with the assembly instructions
- Performing tests on sub-assemblies and finished products
- Assembling and soldering wires, cables, harnesses
- Occasional work with drill press, rotary tool, milling machine and other hand and stand tools
- Basic knowledge in low power electronics (resistors, capacitors, Ohm’s and Kirchhoff's laws)
- Reading electronic schematics
- Soldering of low power circuits - SMT and PTH
- Measuring electrical current, voltage, resistance, etc.
- Measuring common dimensions (thickness, diameter of hole and shaft)
- Reading mechanical drawings
- Confidence with basic metal/plastic processing (cutting, drilling, threading)
- Excellent manual dexterity
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking
- A motivated individual with attention to detail
- Eager for continuous learning and self-improvement
- Excellent, ethically bound team player
- Excellent attendance

**Experience with precision assembly work in the following fields would be considered an asset**:

- Fine mechanics
- Low power electronics
- Clean optics

**What will be expected**:

- To proactively ensure on-time orders completion
- To proactively ensure top production quality
- To master the principles of operation of all products in order to efficiently engage in assembling, and testing

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.5 per week
