We are looking for a Site Assistant to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta.

At Akash Homes, we're experiencing exciting growth. Our Site Team plays a crucial role in ensuring this growth is steady and sustainable. They prioritize relationships with our homeowners and external teams to ensure seamless collaboration, transparent communication, and mutual success. This team also focuses on delivering exceptional customer support, enhancing customer satisfaction, and building strong, long-lasting relationships with our homeowners.

**What **You’ll** Work On**:

- Reviewing and understanding construction plans.
- Removing construction waste from sites, sweeping floors, vacuuming sites, shoveling walks, and performing other general labor tasks.
- Operating a safe, secure, and clean worksite, including building walkways daily for access.
- Ensuring sites are clean and ready for inspections.
- Planning and executing projects from start to finish, on time and on budget.
- Supervising and motivating a team of tradespeople and subcontractors to maintain deadlines.
- Performing inspections, QC checks, and approvals of work.
- Coordinating with the Project Manager, Site Supervisor, and Construction Manager on material deliveries, timelines, and budgets.
- Assisting team members when required.

**What **You’ll** Bring**:

- ** Effective Time Management**: Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet multiple deadlines.
- **Responsibility & Problem-Solving**: Willingness to assume responsibility, identify problems, take independent action, and request (or offer) assistance where required.
- **Technical Skills**: Ability to perform on-site warranty-related repairs and pre and post-occupancy repairs.
- **Teamwork & Independence**: Works well in a team or independently.
- **Hand-Tool Proficiency**: Comfortable using own hand tools.
- **General Labor Experience**: Experience with general labor repairs including framing, drywall, paint, plumbing, installing deck stairs and railings, replacing deck boards, nail pop repairs, etc.
- **Construction Knowledge**: An understanding of the Construction Performance Guide for New Home Warranty in Alberta.
- **Physically Fit**: Ability to lift heavier materials.
- **Reliable Vehicle**: Truck preferred with a clean Driver's Abstract.
