**Job Description **Youth Leader

The City of Port Moody is looking for enthusiastic, energetic individuals to provide leadership, mentorship and supervision for youth at the Youth Lounge at the Recreation Complex, Middle

Schools and various out-trips.

This position is responsible for organizing a variety of recreational opportunities for youth, providing leadership and supervision to youth 11-18 years in a variety of social, physical and educational activities. The Youth Leader will act as a positive role model while providing a safe environment for youth.
- Grade 12 education plus a minimum of 6 months' relevant experience in a leadership role working with young people 11-18 years in a recreation setting;
- Current Standard Level 1 First Aid with CPR-C;
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually;
- Leadership and coaching experience;
- Knowledge of local resources for youth; and
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
