Complete Care Hospital for Pets is an **independently owned** veterinary practice in Lake Echo, Nova Scotia looking for an enthusiastic, upbeat person to join our compassionate, supportive team.

Your responsibilities would primarily involve assisting the veterinarian during appointments including:

- **patient restraint using low stress handling**:

- **client education on health care services needed**:

- **medical record keeping and creating invoices for services performed**:

- **filling prescriptions**:

- **scheduling further appointments**:

- **performing follow up calls to owners checking on a patient’s progress with their treatment/recovery at home.**

You may also be assisting the rest of the medical team with other aspects of patient care and maintaining hospital cleanliness.

As a Veterinary Assistant, you will be an integral part of our animal care team, supporting veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to pets. Your core skills in communication and computer proficiency will facilitate effective interactions with clients and accurate record-keeping. Your ability to handle various tasks, including animal handling and client education, will contribute to a compassionate and efficient environment, ensuring the well-being of our patients and satisfaction of their owners. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
