**HARBOUR MASTER - JERICHO MARINA**

The Club currently operates two home ports: Jericho & Coal Harbour. We are looking for a Harbour Master for our Jericho Marina. The Harbour Master is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and upgrades of the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club Jericho Marina. This position requires an individual who can lead and coordinate a large team, is well versed in the structure of the marina. This position involves constant interaction with Club Members and RVYC staff, and therefore must have a service and solution-oriented mentality to maintain positive relationships with Club & Staff Members.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Planning, assigning & overseeing R&M at Jericho Marina
- Planning, assigning & overseeing Capital projects at Jericho in conjunction with the Marine Assets & Operations Manager
- Supervising, Hiring, and Training Dock Staff
- Scheduling Dock Staff and submitting timesheets to payroll in a timely manner
- Providing staff with ongoing feedback and conducting annual performance reviews
- Responsible for all Health & Safety procedures at Jericho Marina (fire drills, emergency response drills, safety trainings etc.)
- Attend Joint Health & Safety Committee Meetings
- Crane, Boat, and Tractor Operation & MTC of club boats used for Marina work
- Order supplies, maintaining inventory of tools and supplies & coordinate deliveries
- Strong Member relations: Marina maintenance & upgrade requests
- Budgeting for Jericho in conjunction with the Marine Assets & Operations Manager
- Coordinating moorage changes with the Assistant Marine Operations Manager

**Requirements & Qualifications**:

- Friendly and able to build and maintain good relationships with Club Members & staff.
- Minimum 5 years Management experience leading large teams
- Multi-tasker that is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage conflicting priorities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and always maintain confidentiality.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in Office 365
- Certified in First Aid
- Previous Boat Operating Experience & General Marine knowledge required
- Must be available on weekends and for holiday coverage if required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
