**Design Coordinator**
**What is the project?**
The Ontario Line South. A six-kilometre tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River). The scope of the Project includes the design, construction, and handover of all tunnels (twin tube of 6 km each), 7 stations (turnkey for: 1 station at grade and 6 underground stations) and civil works.
**What you will do**:
Ensure the coordination with designer and different disciplines within the joint venture.
Concretely, your tasks will be:
- To ensure that the project design is conform to the drawings established by the designers;
- To ensure that the project is implemented effectively and efficiently by the construction team;
- To act as a technical reference for the construction team;
- To liaise with different disciplines within the project to update design modification drawings;
- To ensure design coordination and to attend to design meetings (Structure, Architecture, Geotechnical, MEP, etc.);
- To monitor and manage the production of the technical teams and subcontractors under your supervision;
- To review and approve drawings developed by subcontractors and other designers during different phases of the project;
- To check that the proposed alignment of the tunnels is consistent with the alignment of the track;
- To manage requests for information from designers;
- To review and approve subcontractor’s requests;
- To ensure coordination for issuance of necessary permits and construction certificates.
**Your skills**:
- Experience in a similar position and project;
- Experience working in the contractor side;
- P.Eng (asset).

- Extension of the Confederation Line in Ottawa, one of the components of Phase 2 of the city's O-Train system, which includes the design, construction, and financing of 27.5 km of light rail infrastructure. The work also includes 4 kilometers of cut-and-cover tunnels, 20 engineering structures, 16 stations and a light maintenance facility.
