**Job Title: Business Analyst**

**Location**: Montreal

**Main Responsibilities**
- Be a key contributor to solution planning and delivery roadmap regarding analytics and operations suites solutions.
- Liaise between IT and business partners to have the business requirements translated into product backlog items and / or IT technical specifications.
- Act as a BI Specialist by setting up and optimizing power BI reports.
- Take ownership of complex problem-solving assignments, recommend efficient solutions and be an enabler of their implementation.
- Take ownership of the functional interfaces specifications.
- Be a key contributor to solution design and ensure alignment with business goals and requirements.
- Take a lead role in the testing lifecycle (regression testing, systems integrated testing, and UAT testing).
- Facilitate and contribute to the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) for new enhancements during all phases: planning, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation.

**Academic Background**
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in finance or in computer science and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the financial investment industry, more specifically in public markets or private markets, is a crucial asset.
- Financial certification (e.g. CFA, FRM, etc,) is a strong asset.

- Proficiency with Power BI is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of messaging in XML: Schemas, Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT), and JavaScript Object Notation (JSON).
- Working knowledge of traditional database/infrastructure: Windows, Microsoft SQL Server
- Excellent French and English language communication skills (spoken and written).

**Principales responsabilités**
- Contribuer de façon importante à la planification des solutions et à la feuille de route de livraison concernant les solutions analytiques et les suites d'opérations.
- Assurer la liaison entre les TI et les partenaires d'affaires afin que les exigences d'affaires soient traduites en éléments du carnet de commandes et / ou en spécifications techniques des TI.
- Agir en tant que spécialiste BI en mettant en place et en optimisant des rapports Power BI.
- Prendre en charge la résolution de problèmes complexes, recommander des solutions efficaces et contribuer à leur mise en œuvre.
- Prendre en charge les spécifications des interfaces fonctionnelles.
- Contribuer de manière décisive à la conception de la solution et veiller à ce qu'elle soit alignée sur les objectifs et les exigences de l'entreprise.
- Jouer un rôle de premier plan dans le cycle de vie des tests (tests de régression, tests intégrés aux systèmes et tests UAT).
- Faciliter et contribuer au SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) pour les nouvelles améliorations durant toutes les phases : planification, analyse, conception, développement, tests et mise en œuvre.

**Formation académique**
- Titulaire d'un BAC en finance ou en informatique et/ou d'une combinaison équivalente de formation et d'expérience.
- Une expérience dans le secteur des investissements financiers, plus particulièrement sur les marchés publics ou privés, est un atout essentiel.
- Une certification financière (par exemple CFA, FRM, etc.) est un atout majeur.
