Heavy Duty Cleaner

**Shift: Days - 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM**

**Pay Rate: $19- 22/ hour**

**Here’s where you come in**

Located at our Head Office location in Concord, the Industrial Plant Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the building including the plant area, lunchroom, and communal spaces.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Empty trash and recycling bins located in all offices and common areas of the building
- Perform daily inspection and pickup of debris outside of the plant
- Participate in scheduled cleaning of equipment
- Sweep/clean selected parts of the plant
- Clean changerooms
- Stock and clean washrooms as necessary
- Report any repairs, replacements, or any other issues in the building to management
- Ensure proper disposal of all cleaning solutions
- Stock supply rooms and maintain all products and equipment
- Ensure all indoor and outdoor walkways are clean and clear (i.e. shovelling/salting in the winter)
- Follow all Health and Safety regulations
- Any other tasks requested by management.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience as an Industrial Cleaner
- Able to communicate effectively with department and staff
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Patience and flexibility
- Initiative and self-motivation to complete necessary tasks without supervision
- Experience using cleaning chemicals with knowledge of proper disposal
- Able to bend, lift, push and pull repetitively
- Must be able to walk and stand for long periods

**We are Public Transit accessible **CMI is located at Keele and Langstaff in Concord. A 20-minute bus ride from TTC Pioneer Village Subway Station in North York and a 10-15-minute bus ride from Rutherford GO Station in Vaughan. We will reimburse for York Region Transit if you need to pay a double fare.
