**LPN CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR**

MTG Healthcare Academy is seeking Clinical Instructor to deliver courses within the Alberta Provincial Curriculum Health Care Aide Program at our Edmonton Campus.

Teach in clinical and lab skills assessment including preparation, delivery, and evaluation. Support student learning through the integration and evaluation of students' progress in theory and practice. Participate in instructional advising with students. Contribute to departmental and faculty meetings and program activities related to curriculum and administrative planning activities.

**Qualifications**

**Responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to)**:

- Instructs courses as assigned.
- Selects instructional strategies to meet learner needs.
- Creates lesson plans.
- Supports development and updating of curriculum, guides and rubrics as requested.
- Evaluates learner performance on an ongoing basis and provides learners and administrators with learner progress reports.
- Maintains official records as required.
- Facilitates learning within variety of settings.
- Excellent organizations and interpersonal skills
- Supports learners navigating various challenges (for example: attendance, performance).
- Identifies areas of concern and refer to the Program Coordinator if follow up is necessary.
- Refers learners to other institutional supports as required (for example: tutoring, counseling).
- Keeps current regarding changes in best practice and adapts facilitation as required.
- Assists with articulation and transfer activity for learners as required.
- Maintains a networking relationship with employers of Health Care Aides.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

**Experience**:

- Nursing: 1 year (preferred)
- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
