The Braefoot Community Association provides before-school care and after-school care programs for children between the ages of 5 and 12 years. We believe that the more positive activities our youth are involved in, the less time they are exposed to potentially negative influences. We encourage and enable youth to participate in activities that promote positive and active lifestyles, which then contribute to healthy communities.

This position would be great for a University or College Student
- Can work within a team to manage children with a ratio of up to 1 adult for 12 youths.
- Able to coordinate successfully with other team leaders and supervisors.
- Capable of maintaining a friendly and outgoing disposition within a child-friendly environment.
- Ability to execute on lesson planning for outdoor education
- A demonstrated ability to handle and maintain various equipment and materials.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to use various methods of communication.
- Must submit to and pass a Criminal Record Check.
- Must possess Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C qualifications.
- Must have or acquire suitable childcare courses or Responsible Adult Certification.

As a part of this position, the Out of School Care Leader will be responsible for the following duties:

- Leading and conducting activities and programs.
- Communicating with other team leaders and supervisors to maintain program quality.
- Maintaining cleanliness and condition of program equipment inventory and materials.
- Completing monthly inventory counts for program supply orders.
- Receiving and handling questions or feedback from parents and communicating appropriately.
- Ensuring safety and well-being of participants throughout programs and activities.
- Completing other tasks as required by the Childcare Facility Manager

There are also more hours available if desired for ProD Day Camps, Winter and Spring Break Camps as well as Summer Camps.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
