Accounts Payable Representative

Comfort Accounting & Financial Services Inc. is an Accounting and Financial Services company catering to the condominium industry. Our aim is to service the condominium corporations with specialized and customized services at an affordable price, while remaining dedicated to servicing clients and their assets to the highest possible standard. Comfort Accounting & Financial Services Inc., in consultation with the client, establishes and maintains a proactive program to provide ongoing assistance with their financial matters and accounting concerns.

Currently, we are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Representative. As an Accounts Payable Representative, you will be reporting to the Senior Accountant.

The responsibilities for this job include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Enter approved invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure proper approval in accordance with the company delegation or authority.
- Prepare batches of invoices for data entry.
- Verify that the general ledger accounts are in accordance with the budget amounts.
- Manage the weekly cheque run.
- Record all cheques.
- Maintain updated vendor files.
- Issue remittance GST tax forms to Revenue Canada.
- Ensure payments are allocated in a timely manner to facilitate bank reconciliations.
- Maintain check stock inventory and safekeeping.
- Cordially respond to internal and external inquiries related to invoices and accounts payable matters.
- Prepare and post month end accrual accounts when applicable.
- Assist with the preparation of Financial Statements.
- Review and monitor any discrepancies between sub ledger and general ledger accounts.
- Ensure that bank accounts are balanced.
- Setup and maintain vendor accounts.
- Provide support to senior staff.
- Ability to ensure that Record Keeping is accurate & organized.
- Ability to adhere to policies and procedures of the company.

We are looking for a person displaying the following skillsets:

- Attention to detail.
- Accuracy.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on a team.
- Proficient in spreadsheet software and other accounting software.
- Ability to understand financial statements and accounting procedures.
- Great understanding of GAAP.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$49,000.00 per year
