**Location**:Southwood Care Centre

**Position Type**:Casual with open availability is required

**Salary**: $18.80 to $24.32 / hour depending on experience

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Assist in scheduling, preparing, and implementing therapeutic programs which support Intercare’s philosophy of meeting the holistic needs of the customers, as directed.
- Maintain appropriate records of planned programs and attendance.
- Document care, programs, and interactions as required on the resident’s health care record.
- Participate in outings and other special events.
- Demonstrate respect to all customers by working with them in a calm, courteous manner.

**Qualifications/ Skills / Job Requirements**:

- A minimum of two years of experience in a continuing care setting is required.
- Preference is given to applicants with work experience related to cognitively impaired persons.
- Preference is given to applicants with training in programs related to rehabilitation, recreation, or nursing for healthcare workers.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language
- Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined
