EA's are valuable members of a team which collaborates to promote student learning, well-being and success. **Location**: Yorkton, Saskatchewan **Assignment/Contract**: 5.5 hours/day - Temporary Part-Time **Salary**: In Accordance with the CUPE 4784 Collective Agreement **Contact**: OR **Number of Vacancies**: - one (1) **Assignment and Term**: - This position is a temporary part-time position of 5.5 hours/day in accordance with the Educational Assistant Calendar. - The position commences October 27, 2025 and expires June 26, 2026 with the work schedule to be determined by the principal and student services. Rest periods will be scheduled in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement. **The duties of an Educational Assistant are to**: - Work closely with students to meet their diverse learning goals. - Provide assistance to students with mobility needs and/or who require personal care. - Assist the classroom teacher to support learning with all students in the classroom. - Maintain strict confidentiality of all information pertaining to a child, classroom and the school. - Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designate and those listed in Job Description - Educational Assistant - Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. - Acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work as a team member will be considered assets. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) - Acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to work as a team member. - Knowledge and experience with accounting is an asset, along with the ability to learn quickly, utilize technology, and work collaboratively with others. - Preference will be given to applicants who posses Early Childhood Certification, and prior experience is an asset. **Salary and Benefits**: - Benefits include participation in the Municipal Employees' Pension Plan (MEPP) and opportunities to attend professional development seminars. Applicants not currently working for GSSD will be required to submit a recent (within the last six months) criminal record and vulnerable sector check acceptable to the Board of Education prior to offer of employment.
