**Home Care Assistance Barrie is a Staffing Solution Company. We are currently hiring a community support worker to be employed at a retirement residence in Bradford.**
Your typical day:

- Assist with one-on-one support for elderly residents
- Keep resident engaged and safe
- Assist at mealtimes
- All other tasks required by the care plan
- A passion for the job in helping others
- Companionship and friendship
- Engage in ROM exercise and mobility activities. Example: going for walks, folding clothing together and exercise programs...
- Connect with cognitive engagement to keep the client mentally stimulated. Example: puzzles, games, skill building and social engagement...

Must haves:

- **_Must be mentally strong and able to handle behaviors and dementia_**:

- Access to reliable transportation G License and valid insurance (is an asset)
- Demonstrated working experience with the elderly, knowledgeable with respect to their needs
- Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with residents, families, and visitors
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Proof of valid Covid19 vaccines
