**Quality Assurance Analyst **for a
**12 month contract **opportunity.

**Role**: This role is responsible for providing testing and validation services to ensure project meets organizational standards and end-user requirements. The project is the implementation of a operational transformation project that strives to realize operational efficiencies, provide a simplified terminal operating model (processes and procedures), and an improved customer and employee experience. Will deliver goals with a collection of modular operational technology (OT) equipment, Information technology (IT) solutions, and a centralized management and control services platform.

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing quality assurance expertise for operational technology that manages and controls an organization’s functions in the physical world.
- Assesses testing needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analysing, documenting, and managing changes)
- Identify, develop, and trace test cases to requirements to confirm test coverage
- Report and tracks test case status and life cycle and track and verify defect resolution using defect tracking system, JIRA.
- Performs preliminary shortlist of tests for environments to ensure core configurations and functionality are working as expected before it is released for a test cycle.
- Facilitates in-depth defects troubleshooting with team members and stakeholders
- Identifies, creates and executes API test cases via Postman or SOAPUI as needed - Evaluates and recommends opportunities for test automation and creates automated testing scripts
- Will deliver Test Cases, Test Scenarios, Test Plans, Defect Logs, Defect Reports, Test execution Reports, Dashboards and related Operational Transformation key integration test logs.

**Requirements**:

- Experience with OT, marine industry and terminal operations functional or system implementation projects.
- 10+ years of consulting or project experience, in an operational environment servicing the public
- Experience in operational focused transformational projects with complex internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Technology Management, or another relevant program is preferred.
- Experience in testing of configured solutions on cloud platform and various corporate integrated points, including legacy custom developed software.
- Experience in API testing using tools like POSTMAN, JMeter etc.
- Experience with large program implementation supporting multiple testing functions (data management, environment management, defect tracking and reporting)
- Experience working with test case management and defect management tools
- Ability to work in multiple functional areas and balance competing priorities while accomplishing the tasks at hand
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
- Certifications in one or more of the following are an asset: related test management or testing certifications (ISTQB, ASQ, QAI, PMI-RMP, Six Sigma)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, collaborative outlook to solve complicated problems as a team player
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments and acknowledge and assume responsibility for work, actions and decisions
- Can convey complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in a manner that is easily understood, authoritative and actionable for the business
- Demonstrated ability to learn from experience and willingness to learn new techniques and procedures and ability to research and come up with solutions to issues/problems and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Promotes and facilitates coordination and cooperation among peers;, encourages team to drive for results, meet goals, and create value for the organization by encouraging others' contributions
- Seeks to understand business needs, delivering prompt, efficient, and quality service. Anticipates, identifies end user needs; drives toward results and ensures high-quality standards are met
