**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare detailed estimates, budgets, and proposals for fire sprinkler installations, retrofits, tenant improvements, and service-related work.
- Interpret architectural, mechanical, and structural drawings to determine system layouts and material requirements.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and create design take-offs using industry-standard software (e.g., HydraCAD, AutoSPRINK, SprinkCAD).
- Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, suppliers, and clients to ensure accuracy and project alignment.
- Review tender documents, specifications, and addendums to ensure compliance with NFPA 13/13R/14/25/20 and local building/fire codes.
- Assist with value engineering and alternate system design options.
- Support handoff meetings with operations to ensure accurate job execution.
- Maintain organized records, quotes, and costing data for future reference.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum **3-5 years of experience** estimating fire sprinkler systems.
- Strong knowledge of **NFPA standards** and local building/fire codes.
- Proficiency with estimation and design software (HydraCAD, AutoSPRINK, SprinkCAD, or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and engineering documents.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and time-management abilities.
- Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter certification or Engineering/Technologist background is an asset but not required.

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
