Pomeroy is looking for a skilled Senior IBM MQ Mainframe professional for a 10-12 month contract. This position requires on-call support rotation and sometimes weekend change work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and maintain IBM MQ messaging systems running on mainframe platforms, ensuring that they meet performance and availability requirements.
- Problem, incident and change work
- Configuring and supporting queues.
- Break/fix
- Train and share knowledge with others
- Attend all required meetings
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support.


**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of experience in mainframe system administration and support, with a focus on IBM MQ messaging systems.
- Strong technical skills in IBM MQ, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Experience with mainframe operating systems (z/OS, z/VM) and associated tools and utilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
- IBM MQ certification is a plus.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekend availability
