**Maintenance Supervisor/Planner, Greenfield, Queens County, Nova Scotia**

We are currently looking for a full time Maintenance Supervisor/Planner to join our Freeman Lumber Maintenance Team. This role reports directly to the Dry End Superintendent and will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance program with a team of Industrial Mechanics/ Millwrights, Welders, Oiler/Greasers and Fire Watch/Cleanup crew. This role will plan and schedule maintenance for the dry end of the mill, keeping both short and long term maintenance goals in mind.

Responsibilities include:

- Providing strong leadership skills with an ability to collaborate and build good working relationships across multiple departments
- Planning and implementing daily and weekly preventative maintenance work lists and duties
- Coordinating the work of crews to ensure both maintenance, production and quality targets are met
- Developing, implementing and maintaining detailed maintenance planning schedules that drive continuous improvement
- Providing hands-on technical expertise on the mill floor to increase and maintain plant operations/equipment
- Ensuring an effective maintenance system that meets ISO 9001 standards

**Skill and Abilities**:

- Promote and demonstrate constant safety behavior
- Ensure compliance of safe work practices and health and safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Knowledge in key maintenance programs, such as reliability metrics, preventative maintenance systems, parts inventory management, project management, machining and mechanical practices
- Ability to multi-task while working under pressure
- Team player
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Programs
- Work with mínimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Good organization and decision-making skills

**Qualifications**
- A valid Millwright trade certification
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Sawmill or heavy industrial setting is preferred
- Strong leadership, planning, budgeting, and problem-solving skills

**Compensation**: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour, will commensurate based on experience

**Relocation**:

**Salary**: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
