Mastercraft Starwood is a leading residential real estate developer and property management company in Ottawa and Toronto. We are looking for an Accounting Manager to collaborate work with our various properties & stakeholders. This individual must have a demonstrated background of efficiency, problem solving & is a self starter. Top applicants are proficient multitaskers, organized, and have strong coordination skills.

**Reporting To**: President, Mastercraft Starwood

**Dotted Reporting Line**:Director of Finance & Operations, Ottawa

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Preparation of financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, and monthly cash flow
- Review and prepare financial statements for corporations, trusts, limited partnerships
- Responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, preparation of annual operating budgets, acquisition analysis, review of financial statements
- Support MMC’s various properties & take leadership in completing various tasks to support MMC’s overall profitability
- Review/prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Review GL and journal entries
- Attend monthly budget review meetings with third party property managers and condo managers
- Financial analysis of new development opportunities
- Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and arranging disbursements.
- Assist with audits and tax preparations
- Document financial transactions and prepare journal entries accordingly
- Other duties and projects as assigned by the President or Director of Finance

**Required Skills/ Qualifications**:

- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience (preferably with a CA/CPA designation)
- Experience in real estate/property management is preferred
- In depth knowledge in using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
- Detail oriented
- Self-starter
- Able to stay organized in a fast paced environment
- Able to handle tight deadlines
