Ferndale Transport is seeking a highly efficient, dedicated and safety-driven truck driver to join our team. We are looking for experienced Class-1 Truck Driver with air-brake endorsement and **standard/manual** **transmission or Automatic Transmission**. With steady year-round local work. We are not looking for owner operators. We own our trucks and preform regular maintenance. We also will hire people who have open work permits/LMO with the right experience. Experience with transporting dangerous goods, oversize, and heavy loads will be an asset.

Employment Type:
Local sites and working hours from Monday to Friday

Responsibilities & Duties:

- Pre-Trip and Post-Trip of the Truck and Trailers
- Must possess a valid Class 1 license with Air-Brake Endorsement and Clean Drivers Abstract
- A mixture of highway and inner-city driving
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions, and find new routes when needed
- Correctly loading and unloading 53ft trailers
- Ability to chain up in the winter
- Communicating with Dispatch via cell phone
- Cleanliness of truck and trailer
- Experience with highway mountain driving in winter conditions an asset
