**Fence Technician Job Description**

NEFAF Inc. is seeking fence technicians for full-time and seasonal employment at its fencing company, North East Fence and Forestry. In the summer, we like to take advantage of extended daylight - meaning there are opportunities to earn more.

North East Fence and Forestry offers an assortment of high quality and durable fence products for Commercial and Residential customers. We take great pride in our products, skilled employees, and their workmanship.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Abide by all required safety regulations
- Work safely with a variety of hand and power tools, including skid steer tractors
- Ensure all underground utilities are located prior to excavations
- Layout fence lines as per plans, permits, surveys, and drawings
- Install a variety of fence types, including chain link, wood, and ornamental at required sites (commercial, industrial, and residential)
- Excavation and installation of fence posts, gate posts, and gates
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Maintain equipment
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years of fence installation experience
- High school or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills for customer service
- G license and clear driver’s abstract
- Ability to work well and collaborate with team members
- Committed and punctual with strong work ethic, excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Construction experience considered an asset
- Carpentry and mechanical aptitude considered an asset
- Obtain a clear police background check

**Working Conditions**:

- Ability to work extended hours during busy season (summer)
- Ability to lift up to 60lbs

**Job details**:

- Full-time, seasonal
- Salary: $20-28 per hour

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 8-12 months

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
