Christie Gardens is looking for an experienced Dining Room Server who believes in providing the highest quality of food and service. This is an important and meaningful position for those who call Christie Gardens home.

Dining Room Servers are responsible for a friendly, seamless and accurate experience for our residents by taking orders and delivering high quality meals. They assist in the set up of stations and tables and provide excellent customer service.

The base schedule for this position is 4:15pm - 8:15pm, seven shifts bi-weekly including every second weekend.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Food Handlers Certificate
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written
- Minimum one year of related experience in the food service industry
- Customer service experience
- Exceptional listening and communication skills
- Knowledge of POS system an asset
- Track record of reliability and punctuality
- Detail oriented with exceptional time management skills
- Ability to follow Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Assist in setup of stations and tables
- Serve food from counters and steamtables
- Take order from customers and deliver dishes
- Clean and sanitize equipment and workstations
- Operate a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment
- Replenish supplies and stock the service area
- Deliver tray service
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers in the serving, retail and dining areas
- Assist residents in opening containers and cutting food when requested
- Take part in team gatherings, huddles and learning articles

Please note that requirements for this position include a cleared vulnerable sector police check, two-step TB skin test, and completion of online mandatory training modules.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 14 per week
