**FACULTY OF HEALTH STUDIES**
The Academic Program Manager Allied Health and Health Administration Technology reports to the Dean and, as a member of the faculty’s leadership team, has responsibility for assisting in managing the operation of the faculty and providing leadership at the faculty level and to a cluster of designated program areas within the faculty.
The Academic Program Manager maintains internal and external liaison, supports faculty planning and faculty/staff development. The Academic Program Manager works with the Dean, other senior administrators, chairs, faculty, and staff to establish and implement college-wide and faculty goals and objectives to ensure that an effective learning environment is maintained. The Academic Program Manager supports senior leadership in fiscal planning and management within the faculty and may carry out other roles and projects as required.
The focus of the position will involve enrolment management, academic policy implementation and monitoring, maintenance of an effective learning environment, academic appeals, faculty recruitment and development, special projects, program and curriculum quality, internal and external networking and internal and external committee involvement as assigned. The Academic Program Manager will also support and ensure the continued implementation of Equity Diversity & Inclusion, Anti-Racism, and Decolonial Indigenization into key functions within the faculty to ensure an equitable learning and work environment.

**Academic Leadership**
The Academic Program Manager provides input, guidance, feedback, and unit perspectives related to Program Development & Review, Faculty Development, Educational Technology, WIL, CSL, and the future direction and implementation of Reimagine Higher Education. The Academic Program Manager ensures Applied Research mandate and goals are activated. The Academic Program Manager:
- Develops and operationalizes the academic program plan.
- Manages the performance of direct reports, provides coaching and mentorship support.
- Supports faculty development.
- Ensures academic policy is implemented and monitored.
**Administrative and Operational Leadership**
The Academic Program Manager supports senior leadership in administrative and operational leadership, fiscal planning and management within the faculty. The Academic Program Manager:
- ensures maintenance of an effective learning environment,
- resolves academic appeals,
- supports program reporting.
- approves Faculty assignments.
- supports external Program Approvals (accreditation)
- works on Timetabling in collaboration with the OR, faculty, and staff.
- actions strategic enrolment management direction and decisions
- provides operational execution and oversight of the strategic enrolment management plan and priorities.
- operational execution of the college strategy in relation to the program
- works with business planning unit to develop and manage program budget.
**Strategy**
The Academic Program Manager works with the Dean, other senior administrators, chairs, faculty, and staff to establish and implement college-wide and faculty goals and objectives to ensure that an effective learning environment is maintained. The Academic Program Manager co-supports the growth and advancement of the Academic portfolio. The Academic Manager engages internal and external networking as well as college internal/ external committee involvement as assigned.

- Experience teaching diverse adult learners in a postsecondary environment.
- Experience developing strategies and operational plans.
- Experience leading and managing projects.
- Skillful in advancing anti-racism, decolonial Indigenization, equity, and inclusion in educational settings.
