In-home Caregiver

**Overview**
We are seeking a reliable **female caregiver** to provide daily in-home support to a **Hindi-speaking senior woman** in Chestermere. The client is **bedridden due to a stroke** and requires assistance with daily living tasks and mobility. This is a consistent, part-time daily shift (5.5 hours/day).

Her husband, who has been her **primary caregiver for the past 4 years**, will be present in the home and will **guide and support as needed**. This role is meant to provide him with a much-needed **daily break**, while ensuring consistent, respectful care for his wife.

Only the client and her husband reside in the home.

**Schedule**:
Care is required **7 days a week**, from 10 am to 3:30 pm.

**Responsibilities** (include but are not limited to)**:

- Assist with **transfers from bed to wheelchair** using a mechanical lift
- **Toileting, diapering, and bathing**:

- **Prepare meals** and assist with feeding as needed
- Provide **light housekeeping** support (laundry, cleaning)
- Support **physiotherapy exercises and daily mobility** routines
- Offer **companionship, conversation**, and emotional support

**Requirements**:

- **Must speak Hindi fluently**:

- **Must have experience using a patient lift or mechanical lift**:

- **Must have access to a car** (no public transit available)
- Previous experience caring for seniors or clients with mobility limitations

**Compensation**:
**$20 per hour**

Expected hours: 28 - 39 per week
