**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Restoration Manager will be responsible for responding to property damage-related inquiries from our clients and ensure timely resolution and restoration of their spaces.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- On call 24/7/365 for staffing support
- Participate in the on-call rotation if required
- Responsible for DRS’s day to day operational systems, processes and policies in support of the organization's visions
- Responsible for short-term and long-term planning and initiatives throughout the management team and in the organization that contribute to long-term operational excellence
- Participation in weekly Management and Manpower Meetings
- Cultivate, develop, and encourage a positive work environment for all Team members
- Ensure DRS staff have tools and resources to perform their work and excel in their roles and execute assigned work
- Monitor all after hours calls from call service and assist on
- call PM as needed
- Sounding board for all Team members, troubleshoot, problem solve and provide support as needed
- Oversee bi
- weekly staff meetings and daily start of day meetings
- Responsible for division revenue targets, maintaining project margin targets and overall profitability.
- Responsible for ensuring PM’s complete billing, ensure it is done on a timely basis and as requested by client and accounting
- AR, along with accounting, responsible for collection of accounts by contacting in a timely manner. This includes contacting clients, picking up cheques ect.
- Develop the project requirements, cost estimates, project plan and budget.
- Update and maintain DRS vendor / subtrade management program
- Source new vendors on an ongoing basis, based on project and organization needs
- Prequalification of all new vendors and yearly renewal of all existing vendors in conjunction with Safety and Accounting
- Identify projected staffing needs for all business unit components, PM’s, Admin and Technicians. Assist with job description creation, conduct interviews, training and integration into DRS
- Identify, initiate, and introduce DRS to new business opportunities.
- Distribute marketing material to potential clients, support the Review and update of Corporate marketing material
- Support and review the update of social media posts and web based advertising campaigns
- Maintain regular contact with existing and new clients to keep DRS “top of mind”
- Support Safety to ensure DRS PM’s are adhering to all corporate safety directives.
- Implement compliance process for new internal safety or OH&S requirements
- Foster and promote a culture of safety within the DRS organization
- Overall responsibility for ordering and sourcing all shop supplies, inventory counting and reconciliation of consumables and assets on a quarterly basis
- Facilitate repair of equipment as required.
**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**:
**Education/Training**:
- Diploma in Construction Engineering or related discipline
- IICRC certifications such as WRT, FSRT, AMRT, etc..
**Experience**: A minimum 5 years in restoration contracting and in supervising junior staff.
**Knowledge, Skills and Ability**:
- Analytical skills in collecting and organizing statistical data; analysing, classifying and rating project financial impacts and/or success; maintaining accurate records.
- Communication; ability to facilitate meetings, liaise with multiple stakeholders and prepare professional presentation documentation.
- Consultation and effective resolution and conflict management skills.
**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
**- **This position is primarily located in an office environment and the work requires a continual physical effort such as sitting for long periods of time (computer or phones); this can lead to back and neck strain, eye strain, wrist and finger strain
- Regular travel (vehicle) to visit and walk through construction sites
- Periodic Provincial travel (vehicle or airline) to visit and walk through construction sites
- Exposure to low-level noise from machines and equipment on various sites
- Exposure to dust particles in the air
- Exposure to humidity, heat, wet or slippery surfaces as/per weather conditions
