**Title**:Assistant Professor - Finance BBA
**Location**:Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada (Onsite)
**Work arrangement**:Onsite hybrid, Minimum 3 days per week
**Reports To**:Associate Dean - BBA
**Expected hiring salary**:Minimum salary $91,800

**About The Program**:
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program will provide a comprehensive overview of business fundamentals, digital commerce, finance and accounting, human resources, and a focus on marketing, analytics, customer acquisition, retention, and experience in the digital economy. Students will develop critical thinking and reasoning skills, collaboration and teamwork experience, and preparation in entrepreneurship and problem-solving. Graduates will gain a digital mindset, verbal and visual communication skills, comprehension of big data analytics, and an understanding of business ethics for the digital economy.
- A Doctorate/Ph.D. in Finance, Financial Economics, or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required.
- A Master’s degree **and** a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related discipline from accredited institutions are also required., along with at least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in the financial industry, is also required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in developing and teaching Finance or Financial Management courses in a multi-modal post-secondary education environment, with a strong preference for experience at the graduate level.
- CFA, CPA, or another recognized professional finance designation is preferred.
- Relevant industry experience in financial services, banking, investment, or financial technology (FinTech) sectors, with familiarity in emerging areas such as financial analytics, algorithmic trading, or AI in finance is considered an asset.
- Previous teaching experience at the graduate level, particularly in MBA or Master of Finance programs, is highly desirable.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Demonstrates effective prioritization and decision-making in high-pressure environments.
- Capable of handling diverse situations, multiple projects, and rapidly changing priorities.
- Possesses strong presentation and interpersonal skills, influencing others with empathy and political acumen.
- Maintains a professional manner with tact, diplomacy, and discretion when dealing with colleagues and the public.
- Possesses creative problem-solving abilities and exercises sound professional judgment, especially in handling confidential/sensitive matters.
- Displays a strong student-centric and inclusive orientation.
- Maintains flexibility and willingness to work outside regular business hours to meet organizational needs.
